How does the skin scan work?
Take a clear, well-lit selfie facing forward. Our AI vision model analyses skin texture, tone, firmness, radiance, hydration, sun damage, pore visibility, and elasticity across five facial zones (forehead, eyes, cheeks, mouth, jawline). It returns a single Skin Age plus the breakdown — usually within 15–30 seconds.
What lighting and angle work best?
Natural daylight, no makeup, no filter, looking straight at the camera. Avoid heavy shadows and ceiling-light glare. The clearer the photo, the higher the confidence score we report on your results.
Why is my Skin Age higher than my real age?
Skin Age is an estimate based on visible texture, lines, elasticity, and pigmentation. Lighting and camera angle have a real effect — try a second scan in better light. If your skin is consistently scoring higher, your routine and environmental factors (sun, sleep, hydration) are usually the levers.
Are my photos safe?
Yes. Selfies are sent to our AI provider transiently for analysis (not used to train their models per their data policy) and stored encrypted in our database, accessible only to your account via Row-Level Security. Delete your account at any time and all selfies go with it.

Pro subscription

What does Pro unlock?
Weekly scans (free tier is one lifetime scan), full zone-by-zone breakdown, AM/PM routine generation, weekly progress reports, product matching, and discount codes for partner brands.
How much is Pro?
$4.99/month or $29.99/year (about $2.50/month). New subscribers get a 3-day free trial. Pricing is shown in-app at the moment of purchase and may vary slightly by region.
How do I cancel?
Cancel any time from your App Store (iOS: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions) or Google Play account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Contact them directly. We can’t issue refunds on their behalf.

Account & data

How do I delete my account?
Open the App, go to Settings → Delete Account, and confirm. Your profile, scans, plans, habits, journal entries, and stored photos are removed immediately. Backups rotate within 30 days.
Can I export my data?
Email support@aiskinapp.comfrom the address tied to your account and we’ll send you a JSON export within 30 days.

Shop & discounts

How do discount codes work?
Some brands run an active discount for Skin AI users. When you open a product whose brand has a code active, the unlock card appears on the product page. Tap it to reveal the code, then continue to the merchant via Add to Bag.
Are product links affiliate links?
Yes — taps go to retailers like Amazon and we may receive a small commission. It costs you nothing extra and helps fund the app. We pick products based on fit for your skin profile, not affiliate payout.
